Bud Light will owe the entire city of Philadelphia if the Eagles win Super Bowl
Philadelphia Eagles fans have been on a wild ride this season.
Coming off a 7-9 season and a last-place finish in the NFC East, they had little hope that their team would win a championship this season.
In fact, the Eagles’ odds to win the Super Bowl at the start of the season were 50-to-1.
But in August, Eagles offensive tackle Lane Johnson made Philadelphians a promise.
“I have a lot to prove to this city,” Johnson said. “I think if we have a few big years and make the playoffs, if we win a Super Bowl, I’m giving out beer to everybody.”
Bud Light saw his vow and decided to make a deal with the Eagles on Twitter.

“Win it all and the party is on us,” the company said.
Well, upper management might not be too thrilled about this social media plea to interact with its customers.
The team is now just two victories away from taking home the Lombardi Trophy.
But despite the potential costs if the Eagles win, Bud Light says it isn’t going to renege on its deal with the city’s fans.
“Bud Light has not forgotten about our commitment to Lane Johnson, the Eagles and the city of Philadelphia,” the company said in a statement to CBS Philly this week. “We will be sharing plans soon, but in the interest of not jinxing the team ahead of their upcoming games, we are not going to unveil any plans at this time. We wish the Eagles the best of luck this weekend.”
The company even created a special message for the Eagles using the king from its “Dilly, Dilly” ads.
Despite losing star quarterback Carson Wentz for the season with a knee injury in Week 14, the Eagles advanced to the NFC championship game with backup Nick Foles taking over the reins.
Philly fans will have plenty to cheer for Sunday when their team battles Minnesota for a spot in Super Bowl LII.
Now Bud Light has given them even more reason to hope the Eagles send the Vikings to the “pit of misery.”
