Donald Trump Jr. asks Adam Rippon the question that's on everyone's mind
USA versus North Korea? Nope.
USA versus China? Not even close.
USA versus Russia? Officially, they’re not even in the Olympics.
Somehow, the biggest American feud to emerge from the Winter Olympics has been between an openly gay figure skater and the vice president of the United States.
Although, it’s fair to ask if it’s really a feud when one side seems completely disinterested in participating.
U.S. bronze medalist figure skater Adam Rippon has been attacking Vice President Mike Pence and the Trump administration as a whole virtually anytime a mic is placed in front of him.
Rippon refused to meet Pence prior to the opening ceremonies.
Rippon has questioned Pence’s Christian faith.
Rippon has even promised to boycott the party the White House traditionally holds for U.S. Olympians.
Pence, thus far, has yet to utter one word about Rippon.
Despite the one-sided nature of this “feud,” Rippon has apparently had enough.
“I have no problem about what I’ve said [about Pence] because I stand by it, but I think right now the Olympics are about Olympic competition,” Rippon told reporters, per CNN.
“[My feud with Pence] brought a lot of attention to my other teammates and I don’t want it to distract from them,” Rippon said.
The 28-year old figure skater admitted that his sniping at Pence was overshadowing a lot of other things happening at the Olympics.
“I don’t want my Olympic experience being about Mike Pence,” Rippon said.
That being said, the natural follow-up for Rippon would be why he has been so vocally critical about Pence in the first place.
It’s a question that Donald Trump Jr. had no problem asking on Twitter.

Not once has Pence ever singled out any Olympian by his or her sexuality.
Yet, Rippon still feels compelled to treat Pence as public enemy No. 1 for the gay community.
And while Rippon may yet go the rest of the Olympics without taking a shot at Pence, it does beg the question of why any of this was drummed up in the first place.
